I have stored all of my monthly themes in these at school. They are great and hold a lot. I have had mine for over 20 years now and know they could go 20 more. Having them stored in these makes it easy to pull that month out and keep it under my desk. I can easily get out what I need and know it is in the same condition it was last year at that time. These tubs stay through the summer and nothing inside gets messed up, lost, or ruined due to the air conditioner not being on at times. I highly recommend this product to anyone but especially teachers that want to store and save items from year to year.

Sterilite totes have always been my go-to product. This one works very well for storing books and DVDs and such. The great thing is these things hold up over time. Very durable product, very affordable and great usefulness!

Not only do I put away summer or winter clothes with this product, but I have other uses. I am a teacher! Every year I have to pack up everything I use all year long and store it over the summer! Without these sturdy, stackable totes I could never get all my stuff packed away and stored! I don't know a teacher who does not own 10 or more of these totes!

The previous reviewer is right. The old style #1720 10 gallon tote is a much better design. The 1720 's could hold sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper or 9 x 12 envelopes loaded in landscape style into the tote. I use them for record storage and have nearly 200 of them. They stacked 5 high totally full without any problem. The new ones are junk. Bad shape and size layout. If you physically go to the Container Store, not on the internet, you can sometimes find the old 10 gallon ones in Black or White. Why Sterilite does not list them on their website is beyond me. Bring back the old ones on your website and you will sell many many units for document storage.

I don't know if it's possible to make a storage tote any cheaper. Forget about stacking these even 2 totes high. If the top one has any weight at all, it will stretch the lid of the bottom one until it turns white and cracks. You would be better off asking the store if you could buy the box that these were shipped in.

I just bought five at Walmart. Most of the totes at Walmart had white marks where the plastic was stressed and turned white or had cracks. I bought 5 that were not damage, however, one of them broke when I was pulling them apart at home.
They are not the same shape as the older 10 Gallon totes and the plastic is much too thin and so fragile.
I wish they would go back to the original design. I have a lot of the older ones - they were Excellent.
